Perhaps let's start with, WHAT IS YOGA?

Plenty of us believe we know what "yoga" is, at the very least for the human BODY.. Such can be loosely described as an ancient physical movement practice, exercised by intentionally coupling ones breathing with a 'flow' of bodily postures.

The common goal of generalized yoga is partially understood to be the lubrication of ones joints, alongside the lengthening of ones skeleton & strengthening of ones muscles.

When practiced regularly, it is understood that yoga serves as a valuable tool for improved health & calmness.

But, does it stop there?

YOGA: NOT JUST EXERCISE

If you're reading this, and have practiced these ancient movements for any length of consistent time, you may have noticed that the experience of yoga can be a bit more than simply a loosening & sculpting project for ones body, albeit rewarded with relaxing effects.

That's because: it is.. or rather, can be more..

Yoga, in truth, is popularly limited & taught only in part. Many modern-day teachers remain within a practice dedicated solely to the physicality of yoga, a beautiful aspect of the art form known as: Asana.

No doubt, some yoga classes incorporate intentional breathing (pranayama), and/or some simple meditation (dhyana); two additional strands, or limbs, of the ancient healing modality. However, very few include, or even explain, all  such limbs.

While asana, pranayama, and dhyana are each integral aspects, Yoga was developed to be practiced in whole, as a way of waking up the body & mind to various states of awareness... and for varying reasons.

YOGA AS HOLISTIC HEALTH CARE

The OG intended accompanying limbs included personal ethics & moral observances (yamas & niyamas), concentrated focus (dharana), a mental turn from outward to inward observation (pratyahara), and a cultivating sensation of divine bliss, or, samadhi.

To accomplish such, Yoga originally comprised all of the body's processes, to include the nervous-, muscular-, and skeletal-systems, as well as the brain-, heart-, and gut-minds, a study I often refer to as both a physical and energetic science (inquire: quantum psychological yoga).

Yoga, in its fullness, is a complete human holistic care method for any age, and works intimately with the totality of the human being experience. An understood and dedicated yoga practice offers not only limber strength & length, but profound physical healing, self-understanding & emotional clarity.

SELF-COPING TOOLS INCLUDED

For the students benefit, the full practice comprises many healing & self-coping mechanisms (known as tools) for clearing fragmented histories, managing personal stressors & using the fluctuations of personal growth to evolve, both on & off the traditional asana mat.

SO WHAT IS INTEGRATED YOGA THEN?

The learning, understanding, and practicing of all of the yoga limbs, for all of the aspects of ones mind, heart, gut, and spirit is what comprises Integrated Yoga. Such is not merely a 60-minute asana class once a week. Its a daily thread of thought, movement, breathing, and reflection for restoration of balance within ones own self... constantly.

When one begins a yogic integration practice, a step into personal responsibility for all aspects of their existence takes over. Blame ceases, shame melts away, hierarchy is obliterated, and a personal meeting of the various "minds" within the body begins.

YOGA INTEGRATION SESSIONS

Sessions vary from 60-90 min, are 100% personalized to the student, and are designed to teach yoga autonomy; with the eventuality of studio or retreat attendance as continuing self-education, supplemental, and/or for community support. Sessions may include any combination of the eight limbs and extend as "integrated" as the student is ready (determined through discussion).

YOGA MENTORSHIP

During a typical session, students learn how and why to practice on their own, while a profound love of self-care is seeded & nurtured with playfulness, scientific brilliance, and ancient wisdom to text your friends about afterward (no phones in class, please).

Classes are commonly referred to as Yoga Mentorship classes through ones integration understandings and may include classical psychology to determine any impediments to ones growth from childhood to present, in addition to clarity around quantum psychology, for the energetic aspect of living (see: first law of thermodynamics) and how to use such to strengthen ones practice.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE TO START?

There is no previous experience with yoga required to immediately begin, as well, there are no age restrictions.

Sessions are available virtually and/or in-person. The cost for an integration session ranges from $55 -$111, with commitment reward-discounts on 3-, 6-, or 9-sessions. As I believe fully that money should not be a barrier to ones wholeness, monthly payment plans and sliding scale options are available.

All first classes with me are free of charge and include a brief few questions prior to class.
